upcaret^partners is a Huntsville, Alabama based LLC formed in 2010.  Our objectives are twofold: (1) to improve the overall entrepreneurial climate within the Huntsville and North Alabama area and (2) to increase the number of successful companies that emerge from this region.  The Venture Partners of upcaret^partners are made up of successful entrepreneurs, financial experts, and business advisors.  We leverage our skills and collective network to provide start up companies with real help and strategic advice to increase their chances of success.  Our strategic, consultative advice is available on a limited basis, but is free of charge to companies in our region that are in need of tactical and strategic help.

Come talk with us.  If the needs of your company and the skill-set of upcaret^partners are in alignment we may, upon mutual agreement, enter into a client engagement.  An engagement with upcaret^partners will involve one or more milestones or specific tasks that upcaret^partners will perform.  A team of two to four Venture Partners from upcaret^partners will be assembled to complete the engagement.  This core group will represent your deal-team but all the Partners will make their skills, knowledge, and contacts available to the team.  upcaret^partners will seek a consulting fee for these services that will typically be paid in common equity.

We do not consider ourselves to be in the mainstream venture business.  However we do maintain a venture fund and those companies who are clients of upcaret^partners and are in need of raising capital may be considered as potential investment candidates.  This fund is composed only of upcaret^partners’ capital with no outside investors.  This capital will typically be structured as a participating preferred or as convertible debt.  In most, if not all cases, upcaret^partners will only invest in its own clients with one or more outside funding sources investing alongside upcaret^partners to complete the round.
